We know what we are, but not what we may be.

Quick video to help you get and idea of the textures:

This painting portrays three shades of human nature. One of which is, bold yet wary. The other is supple and last of all is a side you want to show to all… ROSY.

We all have our own battles but I guess that’s what makes life exhilarating. Each passing day, you mature and meet new people and that could add another shade to your canvas of life.

Love is like a butterfly, hold it too tight, it’ll crush. Hold it too loose, it’ll fly.

Ever since I’ve started to blog, which is not too long I haven’t done two things:

1) Painted a big canvas or

2) A pastel natural abstract

So here it is, a 30X30, with a wild butterfly of sorts. Take a look at the pictorial timeline of how I did it-

1) First, i created a base:

2) Then I decided on a theme. In this case it was inspired by nature.

3) The next step takes you closer to the finishing touches so you start focusing on the details One tip would be stay true to your style. Everyone has their own unique zing to their work… So don’t budge from that.

This abstract is all about texture. To attain this finish you need to ensure that the background is well quoted. I started this piece by painting the canvas with basic colors as depicted below:

???????????????????????????????

Step two included getting the texture and colors right. To get this effect I used a pallet knife and some Q tips

Art can never exist without Naked being displayed beautifully!

If you were to ask me what is your kind of art and what is something that really appeals to you, I would say abstract. If you were to further question my esthetic sense, I would probably say… I genrally lean towards pallet knife and any abstract with loud colors just like this painting.

This piece in my opinion is extremely appealing to my eyes, but then again… beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I personally LOVE the color red so I like this for no particular reason. I hope you like it too. Hope to hear back your thoughts on this.

To be quite honest when I started this canvas I had no clue as to what I really wanted to do and what kind of outcome I wanted to achieve. I started off with trying to get a  drip effect however as I progressed through the painting I felt like this piece would look great if I included a serenity angle to it.

Again, the technique is fairly simple as you can see. All you need to do is smear paint in an unsystematic manner on the backdrop and let this dye take its own path. Once the paint has dried up you can start painting on the canvas.

At the moment, I feel like this canvas is pretty much done. However, I have to sleep over this painting and make revisions to it with a fresh mind. As a self-taught artist, I always go with the flow. For me personally, there is always scope for improvement. I started this painting around 11:00pm and it’s 4:00am now. Well anyway, here is the final outcome:

On this canvas I’ve used acrylic along with some txture to give it a 3D effect. Oh and most importantly, I’ve not used any paint brushes in this artwork. The only tools which have been used to get this effect are my hand and pallet knife.
